Doctor Who Collections: TCG4/15/2014 Monster Invasion Set I managed to find out where to get some cheap Doctor Who tcg tins, decorated with the monsters 'The Silence' it's a pretty damn good looking tin if you ask me which I only paid a little over four pounds for (I have no idea what that is in dollars, please don't ask). It came with five booster packs of 'Monster Invasion' with a special 'Autograph' card which is basically a card made out to look like the actual characters have signed the card and in rather attractive gold lettering. It's an odd addition but a very good addition all the same. I also like the fact that the Doctor Who tins come with some sort of protection for the cards if you decide to keep them in the tins, unfortunately not many tcg do this and it's so frustrating when trying to keep the cards in good condition. But overall I am thrilled with this purchase and I'm so happy to have finally found a reasonably priced tin of this particular card set; I simply got fed up with having to by the bloody card game magazine just to get a single booster pack so I decided to get the tins instead, they just carry more booster packs and they're a wonderful collectors item. I have kept all of the cards in my tin and I've already ordered them etc Nothing too exciting in the packs but I did manage to pull the Fourth and Fifth Doctor out of them and to be perfectly honest I am much more interested in getting the Doctors and the classic Assistants.

Doctor Who Collections: Giant Stamps3/7/2014 Who Stamps Okay so this might be classed as being lazy but I actually got these stamps as a Christmas gift, however I have been planning to make this blog for a very long while and I've stocked up on photos I have taken but only from, I think, Boxing day {the day after Christmas for those who do not know}. But I remember being so incredibly excited when I pulled these out of the envelope they were in that I spent the next week and a half re-watching some Classic Doctor Who. I think my mum had actually been aware of the fact I had been trying to find a reasonably priced stamp bundle of these bad boys but some of the prices are absolutely ridiculous, some even going as high as £2000. The stamps that I have were a part of the 50th Anniversary lead up sort of thing, they released a lot of collection pieces way before the actually anniversary date which was cool and I managed to get a lot of it but I believe that these stamps were apart of the collection releases. They are of {almost} all of the Doctors { First - Eleven. Not including John Hurt's Doctor or Twelve } and they also include what have now been officially titled the most 'popular' monsters on the show, the Daleks, Cybermen and the Weeping Angels. They also have an Ood stamp but I don't class these guys as bad guys. We also get the most important 'character' of the program on a stamp The TARDIS. I apologise for the quality of the pictures under the 'read more' link. PokéhontasCategories
